In fact, loyalty and trust are what make family businesses distinct and thriving in today's market. However, as you might suspect, family businesses also face unique challenges that are absent when colleagues and management aren't related.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">The following Top 10 list might not make you chuckle like one created by David Letterman, but it's worth reviewing if you work in a family business or are considering joining one. I believe knowledge gives you power so, here are the top 10 reasons that family businesses get derailed:
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<ol style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; list-style-position: inside; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
Fear of conflict

Avoidance behavior

Undefined/non-discussed expectations

Unmet expectations

Sense of entitlement

Differences in business philosophy

Lack of predictability and consistency

Lack of accountability

Different rules for family and non-family employees

Discrepancy in work values

<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">As you can imagine, it's fairly easy to run into any number of these pitfalls-and the result is going to be dysfunction. That causes chaos at the office that often spills over into family members' personal lives, since the boundary between time on and off the clock can be a little hazy.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">What causes the problems noted above? Communication breakdowns-such as not talking specifically about critical employment issues-are the biggest culprit. Oftentimes, too many assumptions are made or parents expect their kids to "trust" that everything will be taken care of-but nobody discusses the hard stuff about money or expectations. This lack of direct, honest communication can result in:
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<ul style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; list-style-position: inside; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
Difficulty respecting boundaries

Power struggles

Hidden agendas

Compensation issues

Entry and promotion issues

Succession planning challenges

Ownership challenges/who has power

Communication issues/who's included and excluded

<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">These concerns can be addressed as simply as adult children not calling their parents/bosses mom and dad on the job to verbally create needed boundaries, or they may be as deep-seated as trying to stop a sibling from having anything to do with the future of the business. The important thing is to deal with things upfront-talk about "the elephant in the living room"-so both simple and complex problems can be dealt with in a proactive way. Regardless of the issue, the behaviors or feelings that lead to it are usually the same, and can include:
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<ul style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; list-style-position: inside; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
Feeling patronized or not taken seriously

Needing love and recognition

Lack of trust

Lack of respect

Favoritism

Fairness issues

<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">Is your head spinning yet? Are you wondering how any family business can survive in the face of all these potential issues? Good news! There are a number of strategies that can be used to overcome these challenges.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">All families have their own ways to communicate with each other (or not), but the behaviors that might work around the dinner table don't necessarily translate into the workplace. As a matter of fact, without some form of behavior modification, family businesses can quickly find themselves in peril.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">At the root of the solution to overcoming the issues I pointed out in the previous blog is communication. Yes, it's not rocket science; you may be amazed at what happens when open and honest dialogue takes place and everyone knows "the score."

Every family business should incorporate the following two practices into its operating procedures:
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">

<li style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Regular communication. This sounds like a no-brainer, but it's surprising how many times family members feel out of the loop with respect to what's going on in the business. Communication can occur through formal family councils and meetings, where the agenda is business-focused, as well as through informal channels like family retreats, dinners and vacations, where business and non-business topics are discussed.
<li style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Regular education. Never assume that family members have the requisite skills in effective communication, conflict resolution, listening, negotiation, assertiveness and other areas that are crucial to business success. Provide ongoing training to ensure that all family members have the knowledge they need to add value to the business and do their jobs well.

<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">When conflict does occur-as it invariably will-it's important to separate the person from the problem. This is true when resolving a conflict with anyone, but it's especially critical when dealing with a family member. Attack the problem rather than the individual and focus on your interests rather than your position; make your interests known, but also understand those of the other person... and make it your goal to create a win-win situation based on mutual gain.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">When you're faced with simple conflicts, those occurring in the "here and now," you can often resolve them quickly and move on. More complicated conflicts-those that have a lot of history behind them and are more likely to revolve around family issues-need to be approached in a more structured manner, and this is where rules of governance can come into play.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">You'll find there will be fewer opportunities for conflict if you've clearly spelled out business "rules" such as:
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<ul style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; list-style-position: inside; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
Entrance requirements

Paths to promotion

Salary schedules

<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">These rules of governance provide you with documentation to back up your positions and they also promote a sense of fairness, something that's especially important to the non-family members of the business. Above all, you must treat family members like any other employee, with one major exception: it might be to your benefit to find another way to compensate-such as leaving an inheritance-family members who need to stay home because they're non-functional at the business.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-84220800792558582642020-10-30T17:27:00.004-07:002020-10-30T17:27:35.188-07:00Emotional Intelligence: The Key to Success?

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Denise_Federer/1393778" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Denise Federer">

<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">If you've done any professional networking at all, you've probably heard this line: "People like to do business with those they like and trust." I believe this is true, and I also feel that those who succeed in the business world typically have qualities that transcend competence or intelligence.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">This doesn't mean being inept or not very smart will get you far, but it does demonstrate the importance of emotional intelligence as a precursor of success. What is emotional intelligence? It's the ability to effectively use self-awareness and appropriate social skills to build consensus, manage people toward a common goal and in essence, be "liked"; it's the X factor that can make an intangible difference for entrepreneurs or those seeking to climb the corporate ladder.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">You're probably familiar with intelligence quotient (IQ), a measure of brainpower that changes very little after your teens. What you may not be aware of is your emotional quotient (EQ), which ranks higher than IQ-in first place-as a determinant of outstanding job performance.
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">How can you benefit from knowing this? It's important to assess yourself based on the five dimensions that make up your EQ profile:
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<ul style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; list-style-position: inside; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
Self-perception-Self-regard, self-respect, confidence, actualization and emotional self-awareness

Expression-Communications skills such as assertiveness, showing your feelings and constructive criticism as well as how independent you are

Interpersonal-Participating in mutually satisfying relationships, showing empathy, understanding how others' feel, demonstrating social responsibility and seeing the broader picture

Decision-making-Problem-solving, controlling your impulses, delaying gratification and being objective

Stress management-Flexibility, tolerance, optimism, adaptability and ability to cope... a key predictor of successful people

<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<p style="color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.5em; margin: 0px 0px 1em; padding: 0px;">What areas are strengths for you, and which are weaknesses? By knowing yourself, and focusing on the things you do well, you can better understand the effect your behavior has on those around you-and why you're succeeding (or not) in your chosen career or endeavor. You also have the opportunity to address your weaker areas; it's possible to change your EQ, since emotional intelligence seems to be largely learned.

Here's a 10-step plan for developing your EQ that was created by Dana C. Do those who are most successful have the most talent-or are they best at being able to relate to other people? You, too, can be a star performer by enhancing your EQ and making the power of emotional intelligence work for you.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-69670619114821223132020-10-13T13:38:00.003-07:002020-10-13T13:38:13.868-07:00How to Find a Natural Treatment for Dog UTI

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Rebecca_Shelly/270424" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Rebecca Shelly"><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;">

Frequent and common occurrences of urinary tract infections, caused by the E. coli bacteria can cause serious complications such as a life threatening kidney infection. Also, your dog may have diabetes which can cause the pH of the urinary tract to become unbalanced creating an unhealthy environment ripe for infection. Kidney and bladder stones can also be the culprit of repeated UTI's. If your dog has repeated infections a health checkup may be needed.

On the other hand, the outcome of treating a urinary tract infection for your dog or cat can be comparable to antibiotics if the UTI is from E. coli. If your dog is obviously in pain a trip to the vet is recommended. However, if you are familiar with past urinary tract issues and the symptoms; trying to urinate more often and in places that he normally doesn't go are present, then maybe it's time to try a natural treatment for dog UTI.

The majority of veterinarians will treat your dog's UTI with antibiotics, and while they have their place in medicine, they are over and unnecessarily used to treat problems that many times can be resolved with a natural treatment. Antibiotics while eradicating the bacteria temporarily does not address the problem causing the repeated UTI's. Repeated UTI's are often caused by diet; lack of fluids, dry food, parasites, even stress.

Many people have found that apple cider vinegar works well. It can inhibit the growth of bacteria and help the symptoms. Like all natural treatments for dog uti, including vitamins, they should be given on a regular basis to prevent and reinforce a healthy urinary tract.

Another popular product is D-mannose, a plant sugar found in cranberries and other fruits. The upper segment of the gastrointestinal tract absorbs the D-mannose which does not elevate blood sugar levels, especially important for diabetics. The E-coli bacteria, the cause of most bladder infections, will connect to the D-mannose instead of the bladder wall, washing itself out with urination and clearing up any and all infection and irritation. For years many people thought it was the acidic property in cranberry juice that was helping bladder infections, but it is the sugar (D-mannose) that aids in removing the bacteria.

If you are not sure of the correct dosage and amounts to give your pets another natural treatment for dog UTI are formulated holistic products available specifically for pets which cover a wide range of remedies from behavior to urinary tract health. Holistic vets use homeopathic remedies such as natural herbs and supplements. The same products that help humans can also be used for your dog. Supplements such as garlic, Echinacea, vitamin C, Uva Ursi and Yarrow used in conjunction can clear and maintain the urinary tract.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-33468815695469334352020-10-13T13:37:00.006-07:002020-10-13T13:37:56.066-07:00Does ADHD Run In the Family?

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Rebecca_Shelly/270424" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Rebecca Shelly"><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;">

Is ADHD inherited? The answer to that question is becoming much clearer thanks to research. Because identical twins carry the same genetic composition, researchers in a Norwegian study found that there is an 80% chance a child will inherit ADHD from parents or an immediate biological family member, especially the father. For comparison the study also included fraternal twins, which carry genes as different from each other as if they were a single born sibling. If no immediate family member has ADHD there was less than a 5% chance for acquiring the disorder. Another reason it is believed that ADHD runs in the family and is inherited is the fact that even though one sibling does not have ADHD the chances are high that their children may inherit the disorder.

Certain environmental factors can also play a role in ADHD besides the inherited factor. Drug use which includes cigarettes and alcohol during pregnancy affects the fetus causing damage to the DNA of a developing child and also interferes with the normal development of brain receptors in the developing baby. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome results in low birth weight, brain cell destruction, and additional physical defects that have the same symptoms of hyperactivity and inattention as it relates to ADHD. Environmental toxins like PCBs and lead in paint and pipes also can harm brain development.

Researches also believe that a receptor gene which regulates dopamine is linked to hyperactivity; a symptom of numerous people with ADHD. Dopamine is a brain chemical that sends signals to connecting nerves which help control many symptoms of ADHD, like concentration and learning. It seems that those in the study with ADHD have a greater chance of carrying the gene with the mutation than those without it adding to the conclusion that ADHD does run in families.

The reason stimulant medications are used such as Ritalin and Adderall are to boost dopamine levels which help connect the signals to the nerves controlling ADHD symptoms. Using prescription drugs, nicotine and street drugs all increase dopamine in the brain which researches say is why there is a strong link between ADHD and drug abuse.

Instead of prescription medications there are many non-stimulant products with none of the side effects which also raise dopamine and serotonin levels to create emotional calmness and the capability to focus on tasks. L-tyrosine is a precursor to dopamine and can be supplemented with diet or in pill form. Lean meats are all high sources of L-tyrosine as well as most fish. Dairy products such as eggs, cottage cheese, spinach, seaweed, mustard greens, avocados, bananas and pumpkin seeds also are an excellent source.

Nutrition is a key in controlling optimum health and this includes brain function. The association of magnesium deficiency in children with ADHD has been well-recognized. In one study 40 children with clinical symptoms of ADHD were given magnesium and vitamin B6 for 8 weeks. Children from the ADHD group showed drastically lower levels of hyperactivity. Aggressive behavior was reduced and focus in school improved. Clinical symptoms of ADHD reappeared in a few weeks after stopping the supplements; along with a decrease in magnesium and B6 levels.

These are just a couple of suggestions for controlling ADHD naturally. There are other combinations of vitamins that have been shown to be low in people with ADHD as well as other methods of helping the situation. One person may benefit from exercise which raises dopamine levels and another by omitting foods that may actually be the culprit. There is a long list of foods that can aggravate the condition; another Norwegian study linked milk and gluten to ADHD.

Although more research and studies need to be done; so far the results do seem to point to the fact that ADHD does run in the family and is inherited.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-24423125383628077732020-10-13T13:37:00.003-07:002020-10-13T13:37:32.541-07:00The Best Heart Worm Prevention Methods For Dogs

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Rebecca_Shelly/270424" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Rebecca Shelly"><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;">

Heart worm is preventable. A mosquito bites your pet and in approximately one to three weeks the larvae from the microscopic baby worms or microfilariae (Dirofilaria immitis/roundworm) that is carried by the infected mosquito, mature into larvae and travel to your pet's heart where the worms grow within the chambers of the heart and larger blood vessels. If left untreated the end result can be fatal; the worms will multiply and block blood flow to your dog's heart and lungs. Within six months after the infection sets in, the mature worms in the dog's heart will produce more microfilariae and the cycle continues.

The best heart worm prevention method says it all, "prevention". If your dog is not given the necessary preventatives, resulting with a negative diagnosis, the treatment becomes more complicated. The veterinarian can use the common drug Ivermectin, kills immature worms not yet in the heart muscle and blood and not the worms already obstructing circulation or lungs. One drug for more severe infestations of the worm is Immiticide (melarsomine). This drug contains arsenic and does have numerous side effects. The veterinarian will run tests to make sure the liver and kidneys are functioning, along with an x-ray of the chest to check for damage caused by the worm. This is done to make sure that the dog can withstand the difficult treatment. The dose is given in three injections, twenty-four hours between each dose. The injection is very painful and the dog must be watched for complications and kept quiet with little movement. In very severe cases, surgically removing the heart worms may be necessary.

The treatment using Melarsomine is expensive and with many risks. The alternative for dogs that have tested positive but not yet showing symptoms is to use Ivermectin and Doxycycline (an antibiotic) for approximately nine months; weakening the worms so they will die.

The best heart worm prevention for your dog and cat are to use heart worm medications. Some contain a combination of different preventative medicines to manage the control of hookworms, tapeworms, roundworms, as well as fleas, ear mites and ticks. These medications do not treat existing parasite infections and are only a heart worm prevention.

The number one best heart worm prevention is an annual test especially before starting treatment for your dog. The American Heartworm Association also recommends a test if the owner is switching from one brand to the next. Infected mosquitoes can transfer the larvae to puppies and kittens. They should be started on preventatives by eight weeks old. The antigen and antibody heart worm tests require a blood sample from your pet. Antigen tests detect antigens from adult female heart worms and antibody tests are used mostly for cats.

The old adage "An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure" applies to the best heart worm prevention advice available. This saying can also apply to holistic veterinarians and their philosophy that the whole animal needs to be considered to take full advantage of supporting a healthy living being. Natural cleansing and purifying can keep our pets free of parasites. Natural remedies also used in conjunction with testing can be an essential tool in the fight to keep our pets healthy.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-85451384487861994932020-10-09T01:28:00.002-07:002020-10-09T01:28:14.221-07:00The Reality

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Olachi_Amah/1941333" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Olachi Amah"><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;">

Sometimes God take some people out of your life and instead of figuring out how to put them back, you need to trust God that he is taking you to another level. The wider the heart gets opened, the tighter the eyes get close; when the heart becomes a little tighter and the eyes get open, you will realize that you have been in a messed up emotional situation. They don't prepare you for marriage in school. So you can be a CEO in every other thing, know your Bible, quote the scriptures and still not know your partner. Two people from different background, they might look same but they still bring dynamism into the relationship culturally, economically, socially and otherwise. They make it difficult for the union to be as tight, cohesive and effective and it is supposed to be.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness. Fellowship (fellows in a ship); they are not there to cruise; they have to row together in the same rhythm. And you cannot have the same rhythm if you are not hearing the same beat. Communication has to be paramount; you have to listen twice as much as you talk.

It is not easy when two people from different upbringing, different character and charisma come together to live under one unit. After the 30 minutes wedding ceremony, then you begin to think of how you will spend the next thirty years living up to the 30 minutes. You say "I Do" and you have done it; and in the next 30 years you begin to figure out what you did and who you did it with. Sometimes it gets to a point where you don't stay together because you are in love with each other, you stay together because you are in love with God and God is love. Sometimes it takes the heavenly father to make you go back home to her or him, shut your mouth and not say that thing that will shut it all down. So much pressure is mounted sometimes and it makes marriages explode like it has never exploded before. Some people have shot their wives, kids and finally shot themselves just because they could not cope anymore. The worst part of it is, people are no longer shocked when they see or hear such stories. "Anger rest in the bosom of fools" as it is written. It accumulates to a point where you don't know what you are angry about. Your decision can affect the ultimate plan of God for you, because he cannot twist your will to His. It is a choice you have to make to walk accordingly.

You will never sustain a life-long love without forgiveness. Just when you have it all planned out, how blissful you want it to be, he or she is going to blow it and say the wrong thing at the wrong time and not even know it is a wrong thing but keeps saying it over and over.

Waiting can be difficult sometimes because everyone wants everything now. You are not going to bond together the first 6 months. You might not get the cleaving right, even the first year. It is going to take some time. It is a process; you will go through some changes and adjustments before your father and mother gets out of your head and you start a whole new culture. A waiting man is a man who has not given up. There is a waiting woman, waiting on you to grow up. If you don't wait, the same circle keeps repeating, breaking up and meeting someone new.You have to fix what is wrong with you, because you are always happy at first until reality dawns on you. Many women make men wait longer than necessary because they are distracted in things and this makes him give up on waiting. It is one thing to wait on someone and the person is getting ready and another thing to wait and the person is oblivious to it. We make a lot of mistakes and decisions that take us to wrong direction. But thank God for second chances to make the right choices.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-91814107548526742202020-10-09T01:27:00.006-07:002020-10-09T01:27:52.898-07:00Don't Accumulate It

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Olachi_Amah/1941333" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Olachi Amah"><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;">

There is no perfect timing for the right things to do or the right words to say. People prepare so much for a particular day when they will say it all for the sake of surprise or for the sake of trying to impress that they gave it all their best. Not bad, but what of the situation where you have prepared and you never had the chance as you planned you would. It could happen in both ways; the good and the bad. The good things to do and to say are often thought off, sometimes written and planned out on the best way of presentation, it may take weeks, months, or even years to put it all together hoping for the best platform to lay it bare.
But sometimes it does not always work out as we planned, circumstances come and take the other of the day and all you have worked for come to naught because you have been accumulating it for the perfect time.

As for the bad stuffs, when you are offended by someone, you look so attentively for other possible mistakes that might have been made, you keeping digging until you are satisfied with the results you have to bring the person down. You keep it accumulating for the perfect time to "explode and vomit all the food cooked up inside you" but just at the nick of time, you find out that something went wrong with the person you intend to confront, something so much worse than what you had in mind and the anger keeps accumulating. Life has so many uncertainties for you to bank on a certain time to show appreciation and love.

Love is expressed when you feel it. But people want to take their time to understand what they really feel before they relay it to the person they are having such feelings for, asking God on what to do is the simplest solution which they fail to remember. Some people are never sure of who and what they want and they end up becoming confused; and before their very eyes the one they love is taken away from them. Their conclusion becomes "he or she is not meant for me". Now am not saying it is wrong to take your time to be sure of what you feel, but it is also important to know that love is unconditional, when you begin to love as Jesus did, making the right choice becomes easier.

There are so many situations where people remember others only after they have passed away. They organize the biggest celebration and festivities in their name. Some do not know the cause of death of the people they are celebrating. They say all the nice things about them. If only the dead could see, am sure they would wish they were alive to witness these grand ceremonies held in their honor. And I ask why the person can't be celebrated while alive. "There is no remembrance of God in the grave" psalm 6:5. Say it as often as you can, appreciate the small and the big things as often as you get the chance. You can never tell when next.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-79820789297788528462020-10-09T01:27:00.002-07:002020-10-09T01:27:35.056-07:00Agent of Change

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Olachi_Amah/1941333" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Olachi Amah"><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;">

Change can be in both ways, positively or negatively; as long as there is a paradigm shift; but as an advocate of positivism, as people would say "look on the brighter side". An agent is someone who works for someone, something, an entity or organization, a representative.

But as little as it may sound, have you thought about the next door neighbor who cries every morning out of pain, out of hunger and depression, and you have gotten so used to the sound, that you see it as an alarm? What about the woman in your work place who wear the same dress or set of dresses every day? You can actually tell how her wardrobe looks like without visiting her apartment. What about the gate-man whose shoes have worn out and cannot afford to buy another pair? What did you do about the two friends that quarrel all the time in your compound that has made headlines and topic for gossip around town and you can even tell when next a quarrel would be triggered?

Change is a state of dynamism, where something that has been becomes altered, no longer following the normal cause. An agent of change does not need to have it all figured out, becoming a professor, having the knowledge of the books on psychology. Sometimes, it does not require formal education to make a difference. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matt 5:16)

A sense of satisfaction and inner peace we get when someone tells us, everything will be alright is all that is needed. There is an indelible mark an agent of change makes that turns things around. An agent of change is never satisfied when things are wrong. We keep our minds on the big things and forget that it is the little things that make up the big things. Some are waiting for special recognition and certificate awarded to them tagged "agent of change" before they can be convinced they are the best candidate for the job. It is not about what people call you, but what you call yourself. The extents you can go to make the world a better place is not determined by how people have graded you. Most times they are wrong, but we believe them because we lack in self-discovery. Some people wait for that motivational message or videos that would make them jump for their seats and feel they can touch the sky. You only become an agent of something, a representative of something, when that thing has worked for you and affected you, because you cannot represent what you know nothing about. Do not wait for the pastor to call you out and recognize your services in the house of God before you get a confirmation that you are an agent of change. You have been saved to save others.

All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8495420794079824283.post-58355114690717988522020-08-26T12:18:00.003-07:002020-09-02T05:22:16.869-07:00Business Innovation on a Shoestring Budget

It's true - innovation may be a huge buzzword and that we are all aware. Craig Lambert describes it as being "... bandied around a touch sort of a Miss Universe contestant talking about world peace." While the thought of innovation is tossed around and misused, it doesn't suggest businesses can't or should not be innovative, but rather the opposite: businesses got to embrace creativity and exciting new ways to attach with customers.

It is important to understand the 2 relevant sorts of innovation so as to start out thinking outside of the box and reaching your business potential.

The two main sorts of innovation are:

Sustained: Innovation that maintains and evolves established markets.
Disruptive: Innovation that makes new markets and fresh values.
How Can Your Business Succeed With Innovation?

In order to achieve success as a business, your business must have a transparent and focused 'Power House.' consider your business's house as having four rooms that are the key foundations of a successful business. These four rooms include:

Vision - a transparent strategy.
IQ - a sensible intellectual focus.
Body - a physical energy and presence.
EQ - its interpersonal connections.
These four rooms are critical to putting together a sustainable, commercially viable company - once they are all working together they supply a robust profit power loop. For example:

If you've got a transparent vision and stick with it you ought to eventually reach your goals. Without clarity of vision of a phone that also played music and allowed you to surf the online , Apple would never have created the iPhone.
Intellectual focus involve taking small but crucial improvements to your products or services which will convert customers and keep your company fresh. Dyson failed over 5,000 times before he and his vacuum cleaners reached huge success.
The physical energy that your business creates in visual forms like branding and marketing is important to form a positive first impression. If you'll convert eyes, you'll convert customers.
Finally without emotional intelligence and having the power to connected with staff, customers and stakeholders on a private level you'll not enjoy repeat business and good will. you ought to want to attach to your customers and this is often the most important reason you're being innovative. Serve your customers and find success.
Innovation is About the large Picture

Once you've your house so as you'll start building upon your solid foundation you'll begin to specialise in raising your roof to become more and more successful. Your focus is to seek out ways to enhance your product or business practices in such how that serves your customers and keeps them connected with you as a brand. Innovation isn't about innovating for the sake of innovation, neither is it about throwing money at the newest trend, gadget or radio advertisement, rather innovating should be focused on helping your end-customer and servicing their needs and needs . With the foundations in situ you then have the clear air space to make some special and memorable experiences which will ensure your business is remembered, respected and referred.

Make me happy - use anything but Papyrus. It's all wrong.

If you actually need something that appears distinctive yet rustic perhaps try Aquiline Two or Orchidee.

#2 Curlz MT

Oh my lordy, wordy, yes indeedy this one may be a doosy and it makes my eyes scream no!!

Seriously, unless you're making Humpty Dumpty biscuits for toddlers i can not imagine any reason for you to modify to using Curlz MT as your brand font.

Curlz MT is simply too well curly, it's overdone, childlike, squiggly do this says nothing about you aside from you've got bad taste and are over the highest with none style or substance.

Make the font police happy and swap your curlz MT for an additional more appropriate typeface like Amadeus.

#3 Comic Sans

Can I hear an Amen to the top of this one? Comic Sans is so chatty and customary , so overused. Granted it are often an ingenious addition to a slide presentation for teenagers because it's easy to read on screen and it's commonly installed on just about every computer so you're guaranteed that your documents will look an equivalent when opened by somebody else . However that's about all this font has going for it.

But on your professional letters, documents or website - heck no!! It's semi comic, cartoony style makes it just all wrong for professional documents. I've seen it on billboards, bakery menus, day care newsletters and conservation posters. If you are looking for something childlike and fun that's not overused then try Good Dog out as a font.

Trust - it is a term bandied around all the time when it involves leadership and organisational culture and with good reason. Nothing builds a solid culture better than growing a cushion of trust and zip harms a corporation quite a scarcity of trust in those leading it.

For such an easy , small five letter word, trust can often be challenging to develop and maintain in any organisation. But it are often done! Trust must begin from the highest to be developed throughout a corporation . If top management isn't trusted it gives the perception that it's everyone for themselves and exposes rationale for building a culture of mistrust. during a recent video post I addressed the difficulty of trust and the way critical it's in creating sustainable businesses.

Here are six steps to assist you develop trust in your workplace:

1. TRUTH TELL

Leaders who are trusted tell the reality even when it's easier to lie or skip facts.There is no such thing as 'the' truth. there's only 'your' truth so practice becoming a truth teller - the more you tell your truth up front, the less cleaning up you will need to try to to .

If there's a values statement for the organisation that has any words about honesty, trust or integrity event more so - you would like to make sure you act, speak and live those values before expecting staff to.

2. DO GOOD

When a pacesetter does the proper thing for the advantage of the entire organisation instead of their own personal agenda they're delayed as samples of integrity for others to follow. This strongly reinforces an expansive culture of trust.

When a pacesetter does what's convenient or beneficial for them and not for all it sets up a mistrustful, counter productive culture where staff feel justified to seem out for themselves instead of doing what's most beneficial for the entire company.

3. BE CONSISTENT

A sure thanks to grow mistrust is when managers start saying one thing to the chief or board and giving a special message to their staff. This makes staff desire they're being manipulated, treated like children and wont to make their manager look good.

Build motivation and trust by allowing staff to feel to confident that you simply are sharing a uniform message no matter the audience.

4. STOP WITHOLDING

Withholding is like taking a razor blade to a corporation culture and every one the relationships within it. Withholding may be a tract for catastrophising as within the absence of accurate and timely information rumors spread. Often the rumors paint a worse picture of things than would exist if the reality were told.

Withholding information gives staff the message that they're to not be trusted to understand the reality and thus sets up a culture of suspicion and mistrust that rumors will only feed and fuel.

6. CELEBRATE UNIQUENESS

One of the foremost common complaints we hear in workplaces is favoritism and unfair treatment. Treating everyone fairly, consistently and giving credit to those that deserve are often a challenge as we all have our own biases and personality preferences.

Decades of research, in multiple countries round the world, has shown time and again that investing during a positive, high-trust workplace culture yields distinct, tangible business benefits. Studies show that great workplaces enjoy significantly lower turnover and better financial performance than industry peers.

In a nutshell - positive teams means a positive workplace and positive profits. Sounds simple. The trick is making it happen.

So what do most positive company cultures have in common? Let's call it the individuality Quotient factor - recognising the unique strengths in every individual).

Our work and research has shown that positive employees work harder and are more productive than their but chipper peers. the very fact is these people prefer to give their best work a day because they feel appreciated, valued and ready to contribute their talents. the businesses that grow these cultures recognise and deliver on the promise to value their people as their most vital asset.

It starts with the corporate recognizing and embracing the unique value of each individual employee and giving them a chance to try to to their best work. this suggests all managers must get to understand their employees - their strengths and skills and take a sincere interest in understanding how they learn, grow and work best.

Here's three tips to make a more giving company culture that leads to a more productive, positive and powerful workforce:

Give feedback - people crave feedback, yet much of corporate communication is lacking during this area. When employees do not feel heard as a private , they do not feel respected or positive about the workplace. When this happens, they start to seem for of greener pastures. Upskill your managers in the way to have coaching conversations in order that they can start taking note of , developing and leveraging the talent in their teams. found out a quarterly or monthly meeting where the entire team can talk through their ideas and suggestions, and make certain to wave the flag once you implement an employee-suggested concept.

Give back - most of the people want to figure for a corporation they will be pleased with , and this suggests doing well by doing good within the world. (This is particularly important for Millennial workers). Your company must grow its capabilities within the EQ Quadrant of the individuality Quotient Powerhouse to become more socially responsible and more in-tuned together with your area people . Get call at the area people and find ways to assist , offer volunteer days off or align your company with a charity who is doing great work.

Give chocolate - Need I say more? Is there anything chocolate can't do? Rewarding and recognising staff for employment well done or for living consistent with your values and culture needn't be reserved for the annual company dinner. Nothing works better than immediate, positive reinforcement so why not keep some sweet chocolate treats within the workplace for just such rewards? Workers wish to snack during the day, and a fast word of thanks (or hand written note) with a sugary pick-me-up attached is certain to hit the spot. it is a quick and straightforward thanks to improve mood and productivity.
A great company culture can keep people productive and assist you retain your best employees. If your bottom line needs a lift and you would like to show some frowns the wrong way up then consider making giving a priority for your company culture. Using a number of these outside-of-the-box methods, you'll give your team a smile and provides your company a productivity boost.

Let's face it - the GFC was financially crippling for several companies and individuals round the world - but the worldwide Leadership Challenge should be more concerning because it has the potential to be even more devastating if it is not addressed and reversed.

Gallup research shows that the only most vital factor for our economic survival is discovering and nurturing entrepreneurial talent and building on people's strengths. Imagine how the planet would change if we nurtured the unique talents and strengths of people from school, to college , throughout to workplaces rather that attempt to force everyone into an equivalent kitchen utensil , get an honest education, get an honest job, do as you're told mould.

What we might see would be a generation of entrepreneurs, in-tuned with their uniqueness, starting new businesses, employing others, taking risks and creating new products and services that serve customers and communities.

Instead we face a GLC. As Jim Clifton, Chairman of Gallup suggests, "the deaths of companies now outnumber the births of companies ." Businesses with one or more employees are the engine of economic process altogether countries round the world and yet the leading global economic powerhouse - the US is seeing a bigger number of companies dying and shutting down than those beginning (470,000 versus 400,000).

Sadly, the leaders of our nations, political systems and corporations are still creating legislation, taxation and policies that favour the large end of town. we'd like to prevent pinning our future on large corporations and instead create a culture that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit, that helps people get in-tuned with their unique strengths and grows more Expander Leaders.

Why Expander Leaders? Because they:

create more leaders - they're of service
are more likely to get the individuality (I call it the UQ) in every single person they work with then align their strengths with their roles (they know people are more successful when working with their dominant, natural talents)
spend time planning for and that specialize in the expansion and well-being of individuals and therefore the communities to which they belong.
give control, not take hold
create environments of cooperation and collaboration, not competition
are more likely to light the spark of entrepreneurial leadership in others, not create more compliant follower employees.
Given half all the roles in most cities are created by small businesses, city leaders should be encouraging new business start-ups. Creating entrepreneurial incubators, shared space hubs, supportive policies and environments that reduce the bureaucratic procedure and barriers to launch alittle businesses should be one among their key priorities.

In my very own hometown city of Newcastle Australia - a start-up incubator called Slingshot is operational . Founded in 2012, Slingshot has run two programs so far making 13 investments in start-up businesses. Slingshot offers seed capital, co-working space, access to mentors and corporates and a 12 week educational program designed to accelerate the corporate to plug .

This is an excellent start to starting to address the GLC locally but it's no where near enough to make real change and momentum. Despite the glowing student reports, positive PR from corporates and educators, in relative terms, only minimal support has been secured for the program. Instead the city's money whether from private or corporate investment, continues to travel to blue chip investments that are tried and proven - it is a "me before we" culture.

Instead we'd like to encourage a replacement wave of leadership foresight and be willing to vary our focus for the advantage of our future growth, prosperity and sustainability. As Simon Sinek states, real fulfillment comes from serving those that serve others. Isn't it time we all started doing our bit to deal with the GLC by either investing in, supporting, serving or starting our own entrepreneurial venture? the longer term of our cities depends thereon . I encourage you to #startwithU.

<a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Beverly_Keyes_Taylor/554565" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Beverly Keyes Taylor">

Knowing the difference between how a male and feminine prospect thinks should change the way you market your products and services to them. leading edge research now shows you ways the brain chemistry affects men and ladies differently. And, knowing and routinely using this data as a business manager or employer with prospects, customers and employees can make an enormous difference in business' success.

Brain Chemistry Differences

It's almost like understanding someone who initially speaks what you perceive may be a foreign language. If you'll only speak English, you lose sales to probably all people who speak a far off language. Taking and using this new training, you learn to talk a replacement language of prospects who are already trying to find your company's solutions.

For example, men may communicate incorrectly with women because women think differently from men. The brain's left brain lives in a completely different world and does completely various things and thinks completely differently from the way a lady does. But with this Gender Brain Chemistry technology, what was once hidden from men now becomes revealed. And what was once hidden from women also becomes revealed. This understanding of how the opposite side of the brain thinks improves communication and sales for businesses unlike anything out there.

How Does our Brain Chemistry Affect Us at Work?

Brain chemistry drives us in how we expect , feel and act. for instance , men's bodies crave testosterone and this shows up as desiring challenge, deadlines, goals, taking credit, to be left alone, and to be shown appreciation. Women's bodies crave oxytocin and this shows up as sharing credit, caring about employees and customers, trust, rapport, intentions, desiring respect. This affects interactions between manager and employee, between employees, with customers.

What Are The Benefits?

Here are some benefits to business owners, consultants, sole-proprietorships, whatever business you're in.

Cutting edge brain chemistry training brings results:

· Prospective customers or clients feel trust quickly and are more likely to shop for .

· Customer retention occurs because customers feel that the corporate understands exactly what they have and can refer friends to the corporate for sales.

· Productivity Gains- when employees feel fulfilled, they naturally desire to try to to more for his or her employer to stay their jobs secure. Employees that stay longer saves the corporate 'new hire' costs related to training and advertising for the new employee. So employee retention rates go up. For people that consult or haven't any employees, they improve sales because they know exactly what the prospect wants and may clearly provides it to them. Also, they understand new ways about the way to find qualified prospects.

· Other benefits include improved morale. With improved morale, employees are less likely to steal from their employer.

· Happy employees are ones who remain well longer. That equates to less insurance claims submitted by them and increased productivity because they're at work longer.

· This training reduces training costs within the end of the day because it's supported the science of how the brain works. So, the training is classic and may be taught again and again within the future without having to rehire me to retrain new employees. The local training office can use this training for brand spanking new hires.

As Frank's shift neared the top , he focused on finishing the last of his listed tasks. Ann, a co-worker, came into the concession stand and commenced the 'closing shift' tasks. She started helping Frank while he completed his last tasks.

While Frank worked on his tasks, quite unexpectedly, Ann told Frank to wash the popcorn popper before he left. The people that work on 'closing' shift clean the popcorn popper, Frank thought. So, when he heard Ann ask that he clean the popper, he initially balked. Frank thought for a flash and asked Ann if cleaning the popper was an 'opening shift' or 'closing shift' task. Ann angrily told him to travel home which she would lookout of it. Frank felt extremely confused and upset because he was just trying to find out his job. the subsequent explains the brain chemistry of this example .
Basic Science About the Human Brain

Brain research studies show significant differences within the brain chemistry between men and ladies . for instance , based upon neurological and chemical design when interacting with others, women offer cooperation while men tend to like better to work alone. Cooperation and dealing together increases her oxytocin and dealing alone increases his testosterone.

Brain Chemistry For this example

So within the workplace, when a lady performs a task for somebody , they expect reciprocal help. The woman's unspoken expectation of reciprocal help are often some extent of contention especially when that expectation goes unfulfilled. the lads within the office could also be slow to assist her unless they've developed the skill of eager to help simply to contribute for the great of the group. In our story, Frank was new at stage and had never "reciprocated" help with Ann.

A man's neurochemical design directs him to try to to only what's required of him as his hunter's body is meant to save lots of energy whenever possible to organize for hunting or an emergency. Unaware of a man's brain design functions, some people may judge a man's behavior as being self-centered or perhaps lazy if he refuses to assist . But, his brain chemistry says something far different.

Thinking about helping others without being asked to assist is innately foreign to a person , unless it's to unravel an emergency and be a hero which increases his testosterone and dopamine. Men might spontaneously help to preserve life. A male's brain directs him to conserve energy and work most efficiently. Working efficiently means eliminating wasted motion or effort by performing those tasks absolutely necessary to finish a project.

The basic neurochemical science for ladies requires that women's brains got to produce adequate serotonin and oxytocin. Serotonin creates contentment and satisfaction feelings. Oxytocin creates a relaxed , relaxed, blissful feeling of well-being in women. These neurochemicals tend to be quickly depleted because today's women perform excessive testosterone-producing activities. Excess testosterone naturally depletes oxytocin causing a brain chemistry imbalance in women.

<div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;">

Recently graduated from the same high school, Lee and Ed have been friends since the beginning of the 9th grade. They both seek summer employment together. They find out their high school offers some students who qualify summer janitorial jobs. Both boys qualify and get hired.

As they work, their boss Dave, on a routine basis, confronts them telling them they've done their assigned tasks incorrectly. They feel confused and ask for him to describe what needs to be done differently to complete the job correctly. But Dave answers brusquely with, "Just do it right." never clearly explaining what needs to be done differently.

Lee and Ed feel upset. They'd like some instruction and feel that Dave should give them more explanation. Over several weeks' time, this scenario repeatedly plays out the same way. Lee and Ed are debating about whether to talk with Dave's supervisor or simply quit.

The one main thing Lee and Ed are unaware of is that Dave's wife has just had a stroke. Now Dave must work and be away from his wife. Feeling stressed about being away from his wife and without sufficient funds to hire a nurse to care for her, Dave is taking his frustration and concern for his wife's well-being out on the boys. Here's the brain chemistry of the scenario.

1. Hidden Factors About Dave is taking care of his wife who is recovering from a stroke. That means he's using up his stores of oxytocin and depleting his testosterone. Additionally, he's feeling unsuccessful at fixing his wife's situation and inefficient at caring for his wife. These unsuccessful and inefficiency feelings cause him to deplete his testosterone. Insufficient testosterone causes grumpiness in men.

Oxytocin is the hormone of love and bonding. When Dave does a caregiving activity, his brain supplies oxytocin to do it. However, in men, excess oxytocin created in the brain depletes testosterone. Along with the neurotransmitter serotonin which causes a man to feel calm, oxytocin is relatively plentiful in men. Dave's serotonin levels may also be taking a hit because he feels upset about being away from his recovering wife. While men typically have enough serotonin, it may be depleted in times of very high stress.

When Lee and Ed asked Dave for further clarification on how to accurately complete their assigned janitorial tasks, Dave might have thought the boys were questioning Dave's authority. Dave might have also interpreted the boys' clarification questions as acting unappreciative of Dave's time. Questioning authority and acting unappreciative to a man is an affront to testosterone and further depletes it.

At home, taking care of his recovering wife, Dave is doing love and bonding activities. Love and bonding requires him to use his hormonal oxytocin levels. When men do excessive oxytocin activities, this lowers their testosterone. So, Dave excessively depleting his testosterone levels causes a brain chemistry imbalance for him.

Finally, Dave's dopamine levels may also be depleted. When a man has sufficient dopamine levels he can focus, has energy and acts motivated. Dave's brusque dismissal to the boys for further explanation of how they could do their work right may indicate low motivation to do a job well. After all, he has a much more serious problem at home. Sufficient testosterone levels are present when a man feels confident about what he's doing.
